As I mentioned in last week’s post, Emacs has a steep learning curve. A few years ago, when I got serious about using Emacs, I made some flashcards with lists of key bindings for various modes. I used them as a reference, i.e., cheats. I made the flashcards using LaTeX. Here is the latex code for the flashcards. To compile it, you will need to install the flashcards package, which you can get here at CTAN. If you don’t want to edit the flashcards and compile it yourself, here is the PDF of the flashcards. The flashcards are business-card size, and you can print them on Avery 8371 (ink jet) or Avery 5371 (laser jet) perforated, two-sided business-card card stock.
